Trainee Day 2023

It all started at 7.00 in the morning. The trainees of our neighbouring company IMO welcomed our trainees and the trainees of the company Karl Casper Guss. They were accompanied by the training supervisors. First, the apprentices gave a short presentation of their company and then took the guests on a tour of the production facilities. They learned a lot about how the surface coating/finishing of metals works and what is needed for it.

At 9.00 a.m. the tour continued in our company. Here, too, the guests first received a short company presentation from our trainees and then went to the production area. There, the apprentices were able to explain directly at the machine how a tube is welded from a stainless steel strip or how a tube is drawn to an accuracy of a hundredth of a millimetre with the help of cold forming. This was very well received by the guests.

After a snack of pretzels and drinks, the tour continued to the Karl Casper Guss company in Nöttingen. The iron casting was particularly impressive. The apprentices were able to observe how metal with a temperature of 1,300 degrees is poured into moulds and castings are made from it.
